Was an absolute blast and to this day the absolute highlight of WoW for me.
Dammit! I remember that night. I wanted in to get my totem (which dropped on that run), but nooooooo, it was a minge only festival. Could never get a run with a decent enough pug to make it.
It's a shame the Rattlegore fight wasn't on the vid. I would have liked to have seen how you handled that fight. Single hit from Rattlegore would have been death surely?
So I've been using Filthycletus the Hunter I had years ago.
22 Quests on my log to finish. All of them Dungeon runs. I have nobody to help me and I don't want to make friends so I'm in a pickle. Sure I've been invited to join four or five guilds already but I decline in the hope that Elf and Beerbelly and Pilon come to my aid.
Level 59...I can grind to 60...but what then. It's a big world for a lonely Hunter with the wrong attitude.

When I 2 man'd it with holy dps priest/boomkin, what we did is:
holy priest pulled, hit it a lot, moonkin it hit a lot at the same time, priest fade -> rattlegore chases moonkin.. moonkin runs up to the top into the dragon whelp room and drops down the hole, which gave the priest a ton of time to hit it as it ran back (cos rattlegore was too stupid to go down the hole). It died before it ever got back
5 mages would be cake.
The butcher was far more difficult.. lots of kiting shenanigans around the stairs. But his aggro was just random so it was much harder to handle

Makes me miss it too, I found this really old screenshot a friend had from the first few days of WoW in the good old deadmines !
Another funny memory I have from WoW, is when I finally skinned the Beast in UBRS and got the beast hide, I took it for myself so fast and then hearthed and got it on the AH! Good times.

WoW changed around the time Naxx came out, which is around the time I quit, My best memories of WoW is playing with all my Frozen Throne buddies from level 1 - 60 doing all this new and cool stuff. Once it became raid grinds etc is when it lost it's magic for me.

QFT
pretty much. all my favourite moments came before raids. even the 5/10/15 man instances were awesome fun.
i still don't think I've ever laughed as hard as I did when Juggneet put his epic sword quest item into the floor of Dire Maul and thought he'd lost it. i dont even remember the name of the sword but i have a screenshot of it somewhere.
i think it changed before naxx - once things started to become rep grinds (sup ZG) for rewards then it stopped being fun for me. also didn't help that we had a fuckwit cunt of a guild leader who liked taking weapons for his hunter that were better for rogues but whatever.
