Braid (XBLA)
Just completely ripping off Rlan's post from GAF, but only the first game. Holy hell!

First I've seen of it, and I'm impressed!

Just finished it - VERY worthwhile purchase in my opinion.
The length of it will largely depend on how quickly you can solve the puzzles. At a guess for most people I would say about 6 hours worth of gameplay.
The graphics, music, puzzles and originality are all top notch. There is no comparison between this and the 800 point piles of shovelware XBLA usualy dishes out each week.

Why would you want to rush through a game like this that fast though? The beauty of a game like this is taking your time and exploring the levels.GreyWizzard wrote:It can be completed in well under and hour and on your first playthough too.
After you finish the game it unlocks a 'speed run' mode where you have to complete it in less than 45 minutes. I've no doubt it can be done, but there is no way I would want to race through it that fast the first time around.

Im usually quite picky about what I buy on XBL (I umm and ahhh'ed about Geo Wars 2 for about a week)
and I can say this is worth the price...... as Nath said, its shits on all the other 800 point bullshit we get dished up each week....
but then again, half you clowns are more than happy to fork over 800 points for a new version of Pac Man......

It's a puzzle game. If you are good at puzzles of this sort, you might figure out the puzzles quickly, and therefore finish the game quickly. It's got little to do with trying to rush.Nath wrote:Why would you want to rush through a game like this that fast though? Hardly, most people I know buy a game every few months at most with the hope it will be at least 20 hours of play. If what people are saying about one hour completion of true then I fully understand why someone wouldn't be paying $20 for it. You can get cheaper games with a disc for that price these days (Colin McRae DIRT, Burnout Paradise - from QLD) that will have countless more hours of gameplay behind it.BruceCamblzChin wrote:Penny Arcade is spot on there.
I still want this game but IMO, smaller, downloadable titles should never be more than $10. Just look at Steam and you will see what I mean.
