Fuck wish I was home to watch that! Should be a very interesting race!
Also, there's some classic quotes from the qualifying press conference:
Also, there's some classic quotes from the qualifying press conference:
Q: (Gerhard Kuntschik - Salzburger Nachrichten)This is for all three of you: do you remember when you won your last wet race and where it was?
SV: OK, I start first of all. I apologise to Mark because maybe his last wet race he would have won last year in Japan if I had kept my eyes open!
MW: It's OK mate, don't worry.
Q: (Matthias Brunner - Motorsport Aktuell) To all three of you, if conditions tomorrow afternoon are the same, which is very possible, do you think the start behind the safety car is mandatory?
HK: No, it depends on the water level but I think it should be OK to start blah blah blah
SV: As Heikki said, it depends on the level of water blah blah blah
MW: Normally our starts aren't great, so I will take a rolling start, yeah.

Well that's it - Rossi's wrapped up another championship. I guess you just have to sit back and enjoy being able to watch one of the best there's ever been. It was a good defence by Stoner though. He was never an easy beat and hopefully he'll be up there again next year.
Meanwhile, Philip Island next!

Yeah, it was a great race, however Webber proved that he's the unluckiest bastard in F1.jahooley wrote:I saw F1 qualifying Saturday but missed the race last night... apparently there was a lot of excitement.
After the Piquet crash, and thanks to some perfect pit stop timing for Alonso, Webber and DC they were effectively 1, 2 and 3 on the track. Then Webber's car decided to lose 7th and 5th gears, which led to his retirement.
Had all gone well, he would've held on to 2nd no problems DC was also unlucky in that he had a bad 2nd stop which pretty much cost him 4th - he still managed to get a couple of points though.
Absolutely fantastic to see Alonso back on top again though. Hopefully he can get a good car next year either through Renault or someone else, and really give Hamilton a run for his money. Massa has been good this year, but Ferrari incompetence ruined his chances again. That semi-automatic pit system is terrible - hopefully they bin it for Fuji (or not, as it adds some excitement!).
