I saw both of you online at the same time on Tuesday night. You were playing Tomb Raider, kabal was playing Forza 2. You were both on for quite some time.

If he doesn't front I don't want to be moved into the second round because I'll get my butt kicked, so if one of the already eliminated contestants wants to vs me we'll call it round one and you can re-gain entry in a Wild Things like plot twist.
who cares...if you are willing to play and the other person does not front you move onto the next round that is how tournaments go..
no shame in losing...i dont care if i lose at least i went in going for the win

Fixed.
also people starting off dont be afraid to lose...one thing i notice is how old players who are use to playing the game dont give out advice..
if youre pretty new to competitive sf and want advice..im willing to give it out to anyone...i dont know all the answers but even if a few things can help people up their game its better for everyone..
Good post. I'm far from the best ST/HDR players around, but I can compete (most of the time), am happy to answer any questions/help where I can, and am also very open to any advice or tips myself.
If you want to nail Vega use blanka, bison, honda or rather make sure you know how to use them. I think they're considered to be his hardest match ups.
Blanka ball destroys Vega's air and ground game forcing a turtle match. Same with Honda's headbutt.
Geif and thawk might have difficulties if not controlled with pokes. Vega has lower hit points so their throws are ultra damaging.
Guile and Ken's longer range flash kick and dp might have problems until fake dive desync bug is fixed. But usually isnt a problem. Despite his buffs, Vs Guile is basically slide, c.mp and repeat.
Knowing what to do and when to do it comes from practice. A lot of it has to do with mind games. I like changing gears mid match. Go from turtle, poke, defensive play then full on blitz and the opponent will wonder what the hell just happened. Vega is quite good at that because of his speed.
Yes Bison's air game seems just about on par with Vega's.
I know from experience with Bison, if you're against a Bison player, push him into the corner and bring some air attacks. He has fuck all in the way of anti-air and basically needs to get out of the corner ASAP or it's rape time.
Muzza - with HD Remix when you use Sagat and land a Tiger Knee, do another Tiger Knee straight away for free damage.
Against Balrog, keep away is often your friend especially if you have ranged attacks. I personally find it very difficult to get in close to characters like Sagat and it's fucking nearly impossible to chase down a good Chun-Li. If I have her in the corner she is toast, but getting her there is a cunt of a problem.

Next time you guys organise a tournament count me in (I want to break in the new stick). I haven't played competitive SF at all but so long as it's fun I'm down. I work odd hours but if a time is set I'll be there.
I was checking through my Friends list and you're already there Candy, I must have added you when I first got on Live (I'm Okamachi by the way). Should be able to get on next week, will let you know.
Friday night? I work all day and don't get home until after my workout, usually just before 5 our time. I plan on surprising my girl with dinner in the city tomorrow night, I think I'll have an hour or so's window to get some games in. If that's no good, I'm going to be around all weekend anyway. Lemme know.
Also I'm not sleeping on you and your Ken. Last time we played you handed my arse to me.
lol @ tomby, self-proclaimed SF champion of a NZ milk-bar, being too scared to play me tonight at SF2. What's the matter sweetheart, didn't you say you'd pwn me?

Everytime you invited me I accepted and then it said he game is no longer available. Not my fault you kept closing off the game before I could join. Sounds like you are scared of losing, but atleast you could blame it on the lag!

There's also the bit where you don't have the game. So scared you won't even buy it. What's the matter champ, afraid your crown is starting to slide off your head?
