I just finished watching the prequel (which is here if anyone else is interested). Pretty confused about it all but hyped for the game. A bit of Google work made me discover that the book that comes with the Collector's Edition is set AFTER the game, so I'm going to hold off on reading it for a whileAmbrose Burnside wrote:After much buggering around and threatening to take my business elsewhere, I got EB Games to price match JB Hi-Fi for the Alan Wake Collector's Edition. $99 = not bad at all. Really well made CE. The game case itself looks like a big, thick book by Alan Wake, and it includes the Soundtrack + Bonus Disc + Book. The book looks good, proper hardcover book with a dust jacket etc. I haven't had a chance to read through it yet though My plan is to watch the live-action online prequel, then read the book, then start the game

Re: Alan Wake Trailer
started playing this well attempted to start playing this game earlier, up to episode 2 playing it on hard and already it's starting to annoy me.....for a game that took 5? years it seems way to simple to me compared to a game like rdr. I'm playing it on hard and i've already been running out of ammo...hmm i'm going to finish it but i can see the game being an extremely average repetitive game if all you do from what i've read is kill the same enemies throughout the game. Bruce you loved it please tell me it gets better!!

Re: Alan Wake Trailer
I enjoyed this game more than RDR single player.
If you're not liking it now then you're never going to like it. I guess the game just isn't for you.

Re: Alan Wake Trailer
I finished the story a lot quicker that expected in RDR so I am gonna give this a second crack this week.
What I have played so far I liked but couldn't play it over RDR, the missus will probably enjoy watching this one if the story etc is all that its cracked up to be....

Re: Alan Wake Trailer
Played through chapter one tonight. Enjoying it very much the atmosphere and tension the game builds is great. This is how RE used to make me feel back when it was survival horror. Great story so far and the missus enjoys watching it.

Yeah I played it thru last night was a couple of hours worth and quite revealing storywise. I really like the game and I hope they keep bringing out dlc and new 'seasons' like they said they would, I would keep buying /playing em.

Just to jog the memory of the awesomeness.
Watching some other Silent Hill clips I think they just aren't making the best use of the torch in the game. The way you can olny see what is directly in front of you in SH plus those horrible hallways you are always walking down which are only wide enough for one? Genius.
Anyways its not really fair.
Alan Wake is a great game.
Spoiler ahead.
Such an amazing story with details that unfold so cleverly eg: the letter that eventually fades to a blank sheet of paper. Brilliant. Such a shame the series has been fucked over but all good things end.
I don't have the means to play my ps2 copy of sh2 at present but I do have a PC copy of sh3 which honours the king without exceeding it. Think I might install it.
