Re: Hi- def movies you've seen lately
I tried watching the first 10-15 minutes or so... there was absolutely nothing to keep me from ditching it and never watching it again.

Everybody be cool.....You be cool
Re: Hi- def movies you've seen lately
I thought it was a good flick. A bit samey in the fantasy scenarios but overall enjoyably depressing.mech wrote:Wait, Pat, what?

Re: Hi- def movies you've seen lately
Shouldn't this thread be about the hidefness rather than the quality of the film?
Re: Hi- def movies you've seen lately
Just in case you're wondering, Sucker Punch is a training video for Project Monarch prostitutes on how to dissociate whilst 'servicing' their clients.
The 'dances' are actually metaphors for sex. And the fantasy scenes are about dissociating, to get the job done.
Video coming soon.
One of the more telling aspects of this angle in the movie is the remix of this song -

It's about being an MK-Ultrad, freemasonic sex slave. When men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving slow
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know

Re: Hi- def movies you've seen lately
Only a few weeks away from the release of the Star Wars movies on BR, well it's looks like Georgie Boy has once again decided to change more shit around on em(are we surprised?really). Ep1 sees the evil pedo looking Yoda puppet replaced with a CG one, which really properly was a good choice, but again numerous changes to the original 3 again!! The big one is having Vadder yell out "Noooooo" before picking up the Emperor and dumping him to his death.

Re: Hi- def movies you've seen lately
Some other changes include....
Ewoks now blink
Obi-won's scream to scare off the Sand People has changed.
And apparently there are heaps more, some little, some big and even re-recording certain lines/dialogue.
Reading an interview with one of the people working on the restoration has confirmed some of these changes, he also mentions everytime they watch the films Lucas continually picks up on new things to change again and again....
Raiders of the Lost Ark 30th Anniversary is this month and there is a big fan screening of it in LA with a special session with Spilberg to follow where they expect the announcement of all Indy movies hitting Blu-ray
