Would love to hear impressions.

As for a faction, I'd default to Sith. Bounty Hunter or Imperial Agent sounds good to me without doing any research.

I'm just scared I'll get bored easily. Which as a massive Star Wars fan is worrying.

My fears are that I'll hate it or that I'll love it too much.

I didn't even know this was out for Australia until some time next year?
I don't think I have any interest though. Mostly due to not having time for it. Also, i'm not a Star Wars fan at all.

Think f I was going to touch an MM, it'll either be Eve or Titan.

You CAN get it, but only import or buy a key off a site like i did, or you can buy off Origin if you change your region so it will display but you need an American credit card. Pings are the same as wow very playable 150 - 250ms. Looks like they're also gonna be having Australian local servers and possibly a transfer for us aussies already playing once they're live, for any MMO local aussie servers are a first which is why the march release date for us.

Im on The Crucible Pits PvP server.. I play Empire - Sith Inquisitor lvl 28

I saw on Whirlpool there are places you can get a key for $50 or so. I just don't think there will be enough content (outside the different class storylines).

Bioware announced new content release this month sometime.

Bioware has also said that this game has MORE content than ALL of their games combined.

I have heard the top top TOP nerds have already cleared all the end game raid content so yeah, i don't think end game is quite there yet but hey, its only been out for 12 days, and 17 if you include early access

What's the raid content like? Similar to WoW raids?

Yes and no.

It tries to be WoW but without all the tools they have to grossly simplify a lot of the mechanics.

:run:

This was in my junk emails today.
Greetings!

It has come to our attention that you are trying to sell your personal Star Wars account(s).

As you may not be aware of, this conflicts with the EULA and Terms of Agreement.

If this proves to be true, your account can and will be disabled.

It will be ongoing for further investigation by LucasArts's employees.

If you wish to not get your account suspended you should immediately verify your account ownership.

You can confirm that you are the original owner of the account to this secure website with: :

https://account.swtor.com/user/login?destination=home" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I don't even have a SWTOR account yet and already I've been haxxed.

So I cancelled today. The content is of poor quality and there's not a lot of it. I went to level my Guardian and I couldn't handle the *exact* same content over again. Seriously. The content lasts less than the level ranges so you consistently have to do bonus missions. I ended up having to grind 48-50 because I literrally ran out of non-grey content to do. It's not like WoW where you have six different places to level at any one time and you only have the XP to hit two or three of them before they become grey. I managed to squeeze three characters out of WoW the first time around doing all different content at each level.

Flashpoints are so full of gimmicks and stupid amounts of bullshit. Not that I want to do them because I often have to get in my ship to get to wherever they are (which is about as fun as watching paint dry and about as long too c/o loading screens and run, run, run, run). The game plays so clunky so there's no real incentive to get into a random dungeon like I can in WoW. Operations are terrible with no actual thought or planning. The fight against the Rancor? It immediately drops you in front of the boss without regard to the proceeding cutscene. So if one person skips the cut scene (which is actually skippable unlike every other silly cut scene in the game that makes you wait for everyone to watch every little tiny piece of text) and the rest of your raid doesn't you'll zone into three or four people dead.

The community just wants to walk both ways uphill in the snow. Anyone who suggests the interface be improved is immediately shouted down and told to go back to WoW.

So I'm going back to WoW. Which is good because WoW is a much better MMORPG anyway.
