Also look out for Belgium and Germany; everyone's pick is a south american team but trust me both these nations have star studded lineups. (and of course spain but germany and belgium's national teams are made up of every good player in the EPL and Bundesliga virtually.)

You're doing it wrong boomy. Threads about the world cup are supposed to be about the chicks in the crowd.
Edit: But to be on topic I don't have a heap of interest in this world cup. Australia are going to get hammered, Ireland didn't make it, and I can't stand the way South American teams play the game. Plus it's going to have some pretty bad viewing times on TV isn't it? Mmm.

Really cloud? You may as well have said "I know nothing about soccer".cloud wrote:bahahaha! Soccerroos are a bunch of useless cunts..
They were playing for the 2-2 draw and conceded to lose 3-1. They were very unlucky. You watch the replay, and it was inexperience that hurt us.
Ang coached amazing and ALL the players stepped up.
We're blooding kids here, and the future of the Socceroos looks very, VERY bright.

Ban him!
Couldn't watch the Socceroos game but heard the whole thing on the radio. Sounded very unfortunate at the start given how they played. Still as Elf said, it's a young team, not too many experienced players on the international stage but still. Netherlands will be a challenge but the Spain game could be very interesting.
Got up this morning to watch England vs Italy. England although losing played a good game and they also have a lot of Fifa virgins. Stirlng was excellent although I don't know what is up with that limp wrist action every time he got the ball. Rooney choking again on the world stage.
Might watch some games tmw as I have the day off but no real teams I am excited for outside of England.

Re: Fifa world cup Brazil 2014 hype! NSFW now, use caution
Ehhh. Now I got that out of my system because Australia and England are in rebuilding phases,
seriously, wow. This World Cup is probably the best ever. Weird that we went from the worst ever in South Africa to the best ever in Brazil. I've seen about 3/4's of the games all the way through.
Socceroos! Holy shit the future looks bright for Australia. As long as we can find someone who can kick goals to replace GOAT Tim Cahill, we're looking really, really good. Ang has done a fucking amazing job. The fact that we've gone through rebuilding and stayed competitive at the World Cup is a HUGE achievement.
England. Got a horrible group also, and rebuilding, but probably look more shakey than Australia going forwards.
Both teams would have got out of the terrible Groups C and H, but eh, that's the way it goes.
Some of the powerhouses don't look that great either - Netherlands, Brazil, Argentina. Germany and Italy look best for mine so far. And for dark horses, hot Chile!
Watching Cameroon implode in front of the world was just horrible.
Edit: Yesterday was probably the best day. Socceroos - couldn't be happier - seriously. I expected a 10 goal deficit on aggregate, and they're at 2. Then the Spain debacle and the Cameroon debacle. Yesterday was the most entertaining day in sport ever.

every 4 years the future of Australian soccer looks bright. Is there something wrong where people can't just call it for what it is, 3 drubbings?
Vzzzbx, you lose again!

We did better than I thought we would this world cup. But I do think it's a bit of a joke we made it to begin with.
