Re: Android Thread
Going to get myself a HTC M9 when they're released I think.
Re: Android Thread
Love my M8, the best smartphone I've owned to date. Going to find it very difficult to trade up, hopefully the M10 is out by then.

Re: Android Thread
Was hoping for a newer, thinner design from last year's model. Still the best android phone out imo, but I think I'll stick to my current device for a bit longer.

Re: Android Thread
I've been hearing they're the hottest Android phone around atm.
Re: Android Thread
Probably the camera was left on. Mine has done it once. I used to have double tap to wake activated and it woke up my phone whilst in my pocket. Camera came on somehow and my phone was boiling, not sure how long it was on for but the phone locked up. Turned it off for an hour, no issues. Liked tap to wake but since turned it off

I'm glad they upped the megapixel count to 20mp.

I've preordered a Pebble Time from Kickstarter. Am I making a mistake?

Re: Android Thread
I got a new metal band from china for my LG G Watch R yesterday. Wrapped with it for 14 bucks. Almost looks like it was designed for it.

My G Watch R has a funky screen. Reckon I'm going to have to return it under warranty.

Re: Android Thread
I have the original Peblle & was a great device. However I didn't wear it often. Since getting the Moto 360, the Pebble doesn't get used at all & find the Moto 360 is getting far more use.Madmya wrote:I've preordered a Pebble Time from Kickstarter. Am I making a mistake?
If you don't have a smartwatch, I'd say go for it.

Re: Android Thread
Rad. Yeah sometimes I feel like I shouldn't get it, but most times I do. I'd like a watch, I guess I'm just wary of getting something gimmicky and not useful. I think it will be though. I don't necessarily want a smartphone on my arm, and the Pebble Time feels like it's got the right amount of 'smartness' for me.
That apple watch looks way too thick by the way.

Re: Android Thread
Got my M9, loving it so far but haven't tested the camera yet. Nice to have a new phone after 2.5 years, and one with decent app support
Re: Android Thread
HTC have really turned a corner with app and device support, they communicate regularly with customers and push updates quickly. Still think the M8 is the duck's nuts.

I kid you not that the Moto X 2014 is fucking brilliant. If your missus loved the M7, she'll lose her shit at the Moto X.

Same thing happens to LG G3 apparently.
Was going to buy an LG G3 until I heard that and settled on the Oneplus One.
But not before I considered the LG G2 which remains a standout budget option IMO. Reportedly great battery life, large full HD screen. Flash that fucker to CM12 and it's a decent daily driver by the looks of it. quite cheap too.

Re: Android Thread
I am so fucking done with LG. D-o-fucking-n-e.
Optimus 2X: Great hardware. Software was so awful that the phone would freeze while installing apps. Lord help you come update time. Dreadful.
Nexus 5: Great hardware. Great software. Pity the phone randomly fucking crashed all the time - even when using official firmware. I got around this only by using OmniROM. Even CM had the crashing issue. Then, the build quality was a bit lacking too. First the little inserts that spelled 'NEXUS' would flake out. No big deal really, but then I noticed that I could just pull the back right off the phone. Not cool for an all-in-one unit.
G-Watch R: The fucking screen has just about shat itself after what, three months of ownership? It will randomly just flicker and flash white at me.
I am just so over them.
