This is set up for an Aussie loss. For some inexplicable reason the SCG wicket doesn't have a blade of grass on it and plays like a pitch from Calcutta and 70% of the ticket sales are to Indians. I'm really annoyed about the pitch, I wonder how much this cunt of a curator, Tom Parker, was paid by the BCCI.

Excuses for who? This isn't the Broncos, I won't be facing any stick should they lose. Playing in such favourable conditions in our own home is such a boost for the Indians and so jarring for the Aussies. As of right now I'd probably prefer to play in India just because it'd feel normal mentally.

I still believe we're a good chance of winning, but this pitch is treason. The guy should be strung up for a public stoning. How does this SCG pitch go from a green top in the last Test against England (which finished in 3 days) to this dirt track without a single blade of grass?

That was pretty funny, but yeah I feel they could have done better with the Aussie team.

It wasn't a lack of belief in my team, Wombstone. It's a failure to comprehend why we are tailoring to the Indian team. Cricket is incredibly mental and I was worried that everything was playing into their hands via ways that we SHOULD be in control of. No grass on any pitch in Australia is sacrilege and I still think this cunt of a curator needs a public stoning.

Exciting game on tomorrow. NZ need to be right on their game to win this. That star wars analogy was great because they're probably going to need the kind of precision required to bring down the Death Star. But I don't buy into this 'MCG is too big for NZ' rubbish. It largely comes down to McCullum and the field is up for the first 10 overs so he's not going to have a problem there.

I just can't see a NZ victory, we bat way too deep. No one has ever successfully chased 300 at the MCG so I think whoever wins the toss will bat first and try and hit that target.

Given NZs track record at all previous CWC events I'm just stoked to see them perform this well and make it to the final at last regardless if they win or not.

Plus an Aussie Kiwi final is always enjoyable even just for the friendly banter.

For World Cup games the ICC sends their own guy to 'advise' local curators. And the BCCI pretty much runs the ICC.
