Re: Post-Election NBN Thread
Will do, my area still doesn't have a lot of congestion, there's someone else nearby on whirlpool who isn't affected during peak hours.
Heard some stories of peak hour nbn being worse than ADSL, mainly in Victoria.

Nice.
I don't have flash installed atm so I'm using the OZbroadband alternative, came up with 16mbits on wifi. On optus cable not NBN, but my package is 30mbits.

Re: Post-Election NBN Thread
I was happy if I reached 5-6 Mbps on ADSL2... It was just shit.
I'm not paying any more on NBN, so even if that comes down I'll be better off... But it'll shit me knowing it could be better.
Internet in general is so snappy now, and I can stream my vids from OneDrive without it buffering every few seconds.
Gonna pre download gears of war later, that'll be a laugh.

Re: Post-Election NBN Thread
The cost of this thing is going to be ridiculous.
Re: Post-Election NBN Thread
People aren't actually suggesting that it will cost more to do less? Labor NBN would have cost 200 billion dollars and completed some time in the 30s

Re: Post-Election NBN Thread
How do you get that figure itch? Labor had quoted just over $40 billion.

Re: Post-Election NBN Thread
I don't know about Itch's figure, but right from the very beginning before it even started everyone knew the figures would blow out. It'd have been really interesting to see how their FTTH scheme and complete aversion of cutting spending anywhere would have played out this term.
