Who is the notorious Australian woman who was on TV news a lot through the late 80's and early 90's? I think she was involved in some kind of scam(s). She might have been a singer from the Gold Coast. She was topical on Playnow - I think maybe Vzzbx had an infatuation with her maybe - or someone did?

Anyone remember her name?

Yes, I read up about her. In 1991 she faked her own kidnapping. She now sings in a band called 'Shotgun Wedding' (or something like that) in the US.

Why the interest? I dunno. There was something on the TV news yesterday about some shady goings on with a singer on the Gold Coast, and it triggered a vague memory in my feeble old mind. I had to resolve it. You guys helped.
