HellDivers - Makers of Magicka. Playing with mates, but there isn't a story mode like Magicka, just skirmishes that contribute to an overall online war campaign.
Kingdom - Beautiful pixel build/survive game (but too easy )
Need for Speed Shift - Gonna dust off the G27

Re: Steam sale - what have you picked up?
It's awesome. Not as good as Civ for me but once you get past the learning curve it's fantastic. You can get it without the DLC and still have parts of the additions, but some of the DLC (Common Sense for example) adds a lot.

Re: Steam sale - what have you picked up?
I could never get into Future. It always felt slower to me... Which is dumb because I know it is faster... I dunno like the stream lining of systems removed some of the charm which made it feel... slower.
I dunno... I am sure if I played JSR and JSRF back to back I would be able to removed my rose coloured glasses.

Loved JSRF, the forgotten sequel. Larger levels, better level and character design. Doubt it will ever be re released, stranger things have happened though.

Re: Steam sale - what have you picked up?
Remember playing abit of it on my mates xbox with the JSRF/Sega GT combo that they gave out after launch. Only had a quick game of multi then never got to play it again coz HALO!
Hoping for a PC "re"-release.

Picked up Ashes of the Singularity, 50% off at the moment. Basically a paid beta but wanted to see what all of the DirectX12 hype was about.

But, but... Sonic CD is not a Genesis game.Rorschach wrote:Picked up the Genesis collection, wanted to play some old fashioned Sonic CD. Eyeing off Shantae
In case anyone else is going to buy a Sonic game there is a Sonic Humble Bundle right now. Sonic Generations plus loads of others for US$10.
Re: Steam sale - what have you picked up?
Just bought the humble bundle. Mainly for Generations. Always wanted to play it, plus Sonic 4 was included

Re: Steam sale - what have you picked up?
I bought Final Fantasy 13-2 and 13-3. $12 each or so. Meant to get them on the 360 but I haven't seen copies of them around so I figured I best just buy them on PC.. Master Race and all that.

I've gotten my wife hooked on Age of Empires 2: HD Edition, so I picked up The Forgotten for her (I already had it) and The African Kingdoms for both of us

I picked up Doom for 40% off, so I'm happy with that.

Re: Steam sale - what have you picked up?
There's some good beat em ups on the cheap at the moment , Transformers Devastation, Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition I noticed were pretty cheap. That is if you missed DMC4SE from the recent Capcom humble bundle.

I brought Doom from Eb for 47 bucks, unfortunately steam sales aren't what they once were. I'll grab a few VR games though.

I had a look, didn't really see any prices I can't do better on kinguin/g2a.
Been spending too much on hardware lately, I have plenty software to keep me busy.

Re: Steam sale - what have you picked up?
Is 13 good? Dumb question given you're buying 13-2 and 13-3. I did see them and almost clicked. I think my Final Fantasy fun ended with 10 given I didn't enjoy the critically acclaimed 12.GeneraL CyberFunK wrote:I bought Final Fantasy 13-2 and 13-3. $12 each or so. Re: Steam sale - what have you picked up?
I thought it was decent but I personally hated the battle system. The battle system sucks balls actually. It's stopping me from going back and finishing it and I am usually not pedantic about RPG battle systems at all.
But at US$8... I'd get it.

Re: Steam sale - what have you picked up?
I actually really enjoyed it. It was a beautiful game and yes.. it's linear compared to other FF games.. but I had no problem with it. Sometimes it's nice to just follow a narrative.Peppermint Lounge wrote:Is 13 good? Dumb question given you're buying 13-2 and 13-3. I did see them and almost clicked. The battle system I actually really enjoyed and from what I'm told, the second and third games have excellent battle systems too. The FF13-1 Battle system takes a bit of getting used to and it is quite fast but once you understand the paradigm shifts and how to work them in battle.. it's actually a lot of fun.
I've never played any of the other ones.. I will be buying 10 and 10-2 when I finish the 13 series.
