He's definitely changed since the car accident. Just like Mark Hamill, only true fans could tell.Cletus wrote:I'm starting to like that Tracy Morgan is playing a female role though.

I thought Robocop was pretty cool and they did a decent job for the time. Obviously the original is a classic because of the era when bigger and more violent almost guaranteed a success.guttermouth wrote:Just like the Robocop and Total Recall remakes i will not even bother with the new ghostbusters

That's the norm these days isn't it? Usually trailers are too long and give away too many surprises or they lack suspense.

Re: The Movie News Thread - new Trek rules, Man of Steel in
I kind of stand by my troll post on the youtube. I like Kristen Wiig. The other three I either do not like or have never heard of them. Leslie Jones is just a straight up unfunny stereotype. Melissa McCarthy is just not funny...and the jokes will be about how she's fat. There's your comedy. Who is Kate McKinnon? It's not written by Harold Ramis. The Ghostbusters are women and be damned with being called a mysoginist. It really doesn't look like its captured the comedy or the darker side of the franchise. A recut of the same shitty trailer won't change that. Is it a reboot or a remake? it is confusing. The whole thing appears to be a parody of the original film.
Re: The Movie News Thread - new Trek rules, Man of Steel in
Because the fan one was just as shit they just cut or fast forwarded some of the shit bits. They lost the plot on thie one when they went all girl power and forgot they needed to make a good film to not just run around yelling women can do it just as good or better. When you see them tweeting this shit then its a good indicator the film's simply become a vehicle for a SJW cause.GreyWizzard wrote:Why?
I bet they are shocked that everyone thinks the film is shit as it seems none of them were aware moviegoers only carr about the movie not the gender of the cast and crew

Re: The Movie News Thread - new Trek rules, Man of Steel in
So you've seen the film then?
Re: The Movie News Thread - new Trek rules, Man of Steel in
Look you clearly dor some reason want to defend this film and trailer. Look objectively at that trailer and tell me in what way can the film lift up past those scenes to even be decent. We ready know the entire plot from the trailer as well so even less reason to go and see it. I showed my wife the trailer to guage the reaction of someome who doesnt follow these thing and her unbiased opinion was 'wow that looks terrible, they actually made that?' So yeah even if I wanted the trailer ruined any chance of convincing the better half.

Re: The Movie News Thread - new Trek rules, Man of Steel in
I've said the trailer is bad but that doesn't mean the trailer accurately represents the film. We've all seen films with a shit hot trailer that turned out to be a turd and we've all seen excellent movies with terrible trailers.
I'm uncertain how you can judge something from a single trailer is all.
I'd like to hope it's a good Ghostbusters movie that gives us a paranormal story first and comedy second, just like the original.

Trailers are used to build interest for movies, yes? Plenty of times where you've had ordinary/bad trailers and great movies and the reverse.
But trailers are first impressions and they're used to hype up a movie. Gotta nail the trailer....

Re: The Movie News Thread - new Trek rules, Man of Steel in
The jokes in the trailer are flat out bad and the movie looks terrible. Now to maintain my SJW status I'll list some of my favourite TV shows: Girls, Veronica Mars, Buffy, Gilmore Girls, iZombie.

Did that original GB trailer nail it?
Also, as I've said The trailer shown for the new Ghostbusters is terrible.

Re: The Movie News Thread - new Trek rules, Man of Steel in
Is that really the original trailer? At the end it says "Back in Cinemas Oct 2011". Honestly, when I was watching it it felt like a modern trailer. Started out alright but then it showed the climactic end minus Marshmallow Man.GreyWizzard wrote:Here's the trailer for the original Ghostbusters.

Yeah it's the original trailer. I guess it got a re-release in the US and they played the trailer and slapped on the 2011 bit.

Ghostbusters International trailer that has more footage.

Yeah... the more footage they show the less I want to see it.
