Re: Sell your XBONES - Quantum Break PC
With the news of upgraded systems coming from both vendors, now is the time to front run the announcements and get the most for your old boxes. I'm considering selling my PS4 now, the xbone would be harder because my sons like playing minecraft on it.
Has anyone preordered this btw? I'm considering getting this off the US xbone store to get my PC version, just curious if you can actually confirm you'll get the PC version.
Maybe I should just wait for the windows store page to go up, I have noticed the PC versions of gears and tomb raider were $20 cheaper than their xbox counterparts, guessing this will be $79 like tomb raider was.

Well Jasper, I bought it for the same reason I buy most consoles - because I can. It's wonderful when you have no emotional attachment to gaming brands and no issues with moneyt0mby wrote:More fool you for buying one anyway! This is the first time I'll be selling a console because it's a dud combined with no value in adding it to the collection.

Re: Sell your XBONES - Quantum Break PC
Well you know with 100% certainty the next xbox will be full BC with the current one, so unlike consoles generations of old, you can just offload it and buy the newer one and enjoy your old games. This is the benefit of moving consoles to use PC parts and heavy layered OS's.
Curious when we'll see the official announcement, I'm suspecting next year sometime, probably be very little lead time to not crush existing sales, like 1-2 months from announcement to retail.

So glad I've skipped the PS4/Xbox One generation and gone PC-only.
Currently playing: Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition (PC), Far Cry 4 (PC), FIFA 23 (Series X)

Best possible move when push comes to shove. A good gaming PC does console gaming better than consoles.Ambrose Burnside wrote:So glad I've skipped the PS4/Xbox One generation and gone PC-only.
Re: Sell your XBONES - Quantum Break PC
Yep, took me a long time to get into it but now confident enough to build my own PCs and so price efficient. Main reason I still own a PS4 is for friends that dont have access to the Master Race and as a media hub. Will probably buy a PS5 eventually but all of my disposable income will go into PCs

Yep. Cost of entry is higher but you're rewarded with performance and cheaper games.
Long-term it's probably cheaper to game on PC.

Re: Sell your XBONES - Quantum Break PC
Killer Instinct on PC is pretty awesome, got everything maxed @ 1080p, rock solid 60fps and it looks fabulous, my arcade sticks work great. Your season purchases are crossbuy and carry over from the bone version. Good job MS, much better than a certain Japanese company that's been doing it a lot longer.

Reviews are out, 77 avg metacritic currently.
Some mixed reviews, was expecting it score better honestly.

Still worth picking up.

Re: Sell your XBONES - Quantum Break PC
Meh, reviews have become nigh-on irrelevant to me. When Eurogamer doesn't even recommend Rise of the Tomb Raider, I am done.
I think I didn't get into the hype of Alan Wake because reviews weren't on fire, what a mistake. In Remedy I trust.

Re: Sell your XBONES - Quantum Break PC
Game gets 8 from review site = bomb
I remember when top tier games got 8's and a 9 was almost mythical. 10 was reserved for pure magic.

Well Eurogamer doesn't recommend the game. Considering the game means a lot to Microsoft's exclusive list, it does mean bomb.
This is a site that gave Never Alone 10/10 though.

Re: Sell your XBONES - Quantum Break PC
It's crazy how closely gamers listen to video game reviewers. BvS comes out to terrible reviews and it takes in 500 million world wide in it's first week. Cinema viewers don't give AF. Gamers... dat number is everything.

Massive price difference though. And for some reason there are tribes associated with games.

Re: Sell your XBONES - Quantum Break PC
Very much like Alan Wake, long drawn out development, 8/10 reviews with interesting effects/mechanics introduced. It's Remedy's MO.
I can't wait to play it to experience some of the amazing time effects and ripple distortion physics, it looks amazing and is unlike anything else I've played. Plus having little finger as the Bad Guy is just icing on the cake for me.
