I had massive issues with my 3570k at 4.2ghz during the beta, was hitting 100% on at least two cores constantly. Looks like this is better optimised.

Thinking of getting this desk now, had a look at it in store, nice finish to it and not bound to scratch the way white panels do.

Yep Im really happy with it.

Weighs about 50kg so is super solid too.

Its only 1600 wide but i found that most of them even at 1600 didn't see all that solid, like this one, 1800 wide ones seem even more prone to being seemingly flimsy.

Damn, after nearly three years without a Gears game, Gears 4 is awesome. Horde 3.0 has to be one of the best coop experiences going around

Sorry to those who had their sessions interrupted by my dropping on and offline last night. Witcher 1 was having problems exiting gracefully on my new rig and latest Crimson drivers.

I was getting lag spikes while play BF1 last night and this afternoon. Turns out it was because of windows updates. So after downloading the update, it began the long process of preparing to install and installing. This is the anniversary update which I previously tried and failed to install. It must've downloaded the update again. Everything was going great until it reached 27% and froze again.

Restoring windows back to previous versions now. :).

My new machine just installed it. Takes ages and wipes all your app preferences while it's at it.

Wow, tried Steam in home streaming for the first time. 1070 is a beast of a card, no issues streaming at 1080p to my home TV. Nil frame drops either. No need to reinstall my steam library again!

Does anyone have or use a gaming keypad like the Razer Tartarus? Tempted to get one but the entry price is a bit high. Play most games with a controller but can't get used to kbam for FPS games.

I used to actually like Windows. But after the whole forced update bs and Win10 being a mess (for me) I well and truly hate it. I'm stuck with it for what I do, but god damn. I can't even joke about Mac users anymore. I totally get it.

Anyone used the Logitech G602 mouse? This one:

I'm a little bit wondering if the relatively low DPI matters, and very much wondering if the 6 "spikey" side buttons have bothered anyone. Or other general impressions. The web is a mix.

Glad I didn't get the Evga 1080 in the end.

http://www.tomshardware.com/news/evga-a ... 32967.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/ ... -card-fire" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Anyone with an Evga 1080, make sure you install the bios or get the thermal pads.

This is why I always get cards that have VRM cooling, outside of the GPU the vrms are the next biggest source of heat output on the card. I can't believe card makers still think they can cheap out and not cool them. :down:

Never had an issue with my Gigabyte 760, would buy their brand again. Shame about EVGA but at least they are owning the problem.

PC games scored an average of 70.8, with some 450 titles rated. It is the only home platform to see its average score rise year-on-year, up from 70.6 in 2015. Five exclusive games on the machine received a score of 90 or above, whereas 46 exclusive games received a review average of 75 or above - higher than any other platform.

In total, there were 178 PC games that received positive reviews in 2016 - more than in any previous year since Metacritic has conducted this analysis.

RE7 demo; more of a trailer than a demo. I could have a grumpy old gamer rant about how its not RE but this is probably the kind of shake up the series needs; another third person action game would be an instant fail move. Its taken heavy influence from the kind of first person indie "experiences" that have been populating steam for a long while. Its has scare potential. Great atmosphere and I could only imagine with VR it would be amazing. I'm going in openly excited with absolute awareness I would have no interest in this game (style) if it wasn't a resident evil game. I hope it the rest maintains my interest like this.

I can't play it with kb/m without wanting to turn it off (slow walk speed; feel like im playing a game under water; too much quake/doom under my belt) but I quite enjoyed it with a controller.
