Picked up an Xbox One deal from JB.

Xbox One S Battlefield bundle
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Forza 6 digital download (or a choice of 3 other games)

All for $319. I wasn't supposed to get Tomb Raider aswell as the choose your game token. But they butchered the deal online and i ordered it to pick up and managed to get 2 games instead of one.

The deal is available until Sunday... but with one less game

I regret having bought this full price off EB before this sale.

The good thing about epic open world games is they have replayability and you can play as another class if you already beat it the first time. Although later ES games have become more dumbed down..(ie inconsequential choices, and voice acting meaning the things npc all say is not unique like older games due to the cost to hire VA to say the lines )

If I had waited I would have bought another game with the savings. (was going to buy watch dogs 2 but decided I have too many titles to play still. Will probably buy that when it is regularly cheap - Still haven't bought Dark Souls 3 yet)

There will probably be post christmas sales too.

console offers stability. PC version always get rushed due to lack of nintendo seal of quality. They use you, the early adopter as the guinea pig bug finders. One set of specs means less bug testing needs to be done.

Dishonored 2 got an Essential from Eurogamer. Noticed they advertised this game on buses. Hopefully it gets noticed. One of Bethesda's better series imo. I think if Respawn left EA and went to Bethesda, they'd be better off imo. EA released Titanfall 2 right at the same time as COD IW and Battlefield WWI game. Idiots.

I just grabbed one today, loading it up now. I have it in the second lounge for the time being, the kids are excited about being able to race each other in forza local lan action style.

I redeemed rise of the tomb raider, never got around to playing it so look forward to giving it a bash.

I have my wife and I setup as parents, my 2 boys have their own Microsoft accounts and I can manage what they can do on our PCs/xbox. The other benefit is they're locked out of buying stuff and they get full access to what I own digitally.

So I wasn't sure if this would all work but I was able to setup all our accounts on the second xbox, the kids got access to my games and my xbox live sub, but the cool thing that worked is they can both play the same game with a single license and play against each other on my live sub. The cloud saves sync your games seamlessly so you can move from box to box and continue exactly where you left off. The only restriction is you can only be signed into one xbox at a time.

Pretty impressive and good value for parents.

Need to stop buying disc games if i can share digital copies between both consoles.

Ideally they should merge disc with digital ownership.
If you bought the disc, you register it, and you can also download the digital one to the other machine as long as the disc is in the system to prove you bought the retail edition. But they'd never do this..

If disc sales die, digital copies will rise in price and stay high forever due to monopoly on the sale of the game. What second hand market can do is offer people chance to get games at price lower than digital for those titles you know are good but just not worth full price.

When shit like that happens you can breathe a sigh of relief that you can still buy disc version second hand Same with things like MVC2 and MVC3 if you were really late to the party.
I wish we had cartridge release of Code of Princess and disc release locally of Dungeons and Dragons Arcade.

Not everything stays on the digital shops forever meaning no options exist for younger/newer fans of the games to obtain them unless there is 2nd hand physical release. Both disc and digital has strengths and weaknesses.
