I get more excited about a new Apes movie than I do for a new Star Wars movie.

Shows how out of touch I am, didn't even know this film was getting made until I saw it trending on Twitter...

Trailer for the new "The Mummy" is out, starring Tom Cruise.
Personally, I like the minimalistic approach they are going for.

I'd actually bother to see a Mummy movie with Tom in it. He's still so dreamy.
Oh shit..maybe we can wash the taste of Prometheus out of our mouth.Candy Arse wrote:

Blade Runner is my favourite sci-fi movie ever, so it stands to reason I am ready to be completely let down by the sequel!
Also I'm just going to put this out there - I liked Prometheus.
Well....except for the part where Charlize is incapable of running to the side to avoid being crushed.

Yeah, I took issue with Prometheus for quite a few things. Nevertheless, pretty excited for Blade Runner 2049

Yep that trailer is beautiful. Very excited. I could be way off the mark here as it's been a good 20 years since I read Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep but I seem to remember some sort of abandonded desert building/temple scene? Not much to go off but if they're going to bring in more elements from the book then I'm all for it.

That was my only gripe with Promethazine as well, didn't rate it as highly as Blade Runner though.Candy Arse wrote:Blade Runner is my favourite sci-fi movie ever, so it stands to reason I am ready to be completely let down by the sequel!

Is the release date American (October) or English (June)?

Ridley Scott could be on a roll. Alien Covenant trailer is out and it looks great. As usual can't link on my phone.
With this and Neil Blomkamps Alien sequel we could be getting some great additions to the franchise cos fuck, the last few movies (Resurrection and AvP) have sucked harder than a Dyson.

We're not getting that anytime soon, thanks to Ridley Scott deciding to do this new trilogy thing. Knowing three way things have been going, Sigourney Weaver will have died by the time they get around to making itt0mby wrote:With this and Neil Blomkamps Alien sequel we could be getting some great additions to the franchise
And, needless to say, Blade Runner is pretty much top of my list of "films that don't need sequels"

To be fair, a large object rolling at you like that would be a scary thing to face! I was never taken out of the film cause she didn't go to the side. And I really enjoyed Prometheus as well.Candy Arse wrote:Blade Runner is my favourite sci-fi movie ever, so it stands to reason I am ready to be completely let down by the sequel!

Prometheus was so bad it ruined OTHER movies for me. I can't help watch them now without being super critical of all the character's actions.

here's a thing...they're removing IMDB message boards. I used it quite a bit, don't know about you guys.

Interesting decision, I can see the logic with all the other platforms for interacting but I did read them when I wanted to read fans theories on some obscure movies I like that no one I know has heard of.

The reptilians. The world is becoming more censored. First they censor rapes in europe, next games and comics,.. then message boards on news and entertainment sites.Cletus wrote:here's a thing...they're removing IMDB message boards. I used it quite a bit, don't know about you guys.
Typing is powerful.
Another thing to look out for is demonisation of comedians who are not politically correct with their jokes.
Don't forget china owns hollywood now. The last Red Dawn remake was censored. And why in Call of Duty Black Ops 2 did the president of the united state look like hilary clinton instead of Donald Trump? And why did the chinese need to rescue us with their drones? The answer you can't make the chinese guys bad guys anymore.
It's the illuminati fingerprints. It's called predictive programing. Maybe the plan is to have cyber hackers hijack the electronics of all the computers and make robots go crazy so foreign nations can invade while there is chaos? Then people will lose hope in the nation and plead for outisde help in exchange for giving up all their sovereign authority over their land? Something to think about on the crapper imo..

Nice. How hard was it to get tickets? Think I read somewhere that they sold out very quick.

Nicole bought them through some Telstra deal...i think she just got in really quickly because they did sell out fast.
