Just got this bad boy for $650 to complete my build

It has freesync, which is useless for my nvidia card, but I couldn't justify spending $250 more just to get G-Sync. The resolution, refresh rate, response time, and contrast are all big improvements on my last monitor so I'm stoked with it :nana:

Nice one, noticed a bit of drop in IPS Gsync monitors recently as well with Viewsonic and AOC pushing the prices down. Love my Predator will probably hold on to it as a second screen once the true 4K/144Hz Gsyncs appear.

Ended up just getting a desk return to put the PC on, I hate wasting anything and a second table seemed like overkill. Saved about $100 too.

Wow an extra screen on top. I've never seen that before, what's that for? Just a preference?

Yeah, I was looking at stands thinking of a side by side mount like most but then found an Australian company that specialises in vertical mounts (http://www.atdec.com.au" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). I felt it was different and it certainly saves a lot of space on the desk. Took some time to adjust by looking up instead of to the side by I like it.

For the last month or so Ive been using an M618 vertical mouse.
So much fun! It feels so much more like holding a weapon and pulling the trigger, like BANG BANG BANG!
It took quite a while to build up my coordination that my FPS playing was on par with a traditional mouse. I wasn't sure I was going to stick with it but now I'm good.
I don't know how much better for your wrist it is. And I don't care BANG BANG I HAVE A GUN!
Would recommend.

Yeah, was always interested in the design but already have too many conventional mice to get another one. Might try it out when my G600 dies.

Going to replace my Thermaltake PSU. Heard a low but audible clicking sound when the PSU fan ramps up. Could be nothing or it could be a bearing in the fan going. Either way, done with Thermaltake PSUs after the last one died on me. eBay gave me a $20 voucher to use so I scored an EVGA Supernova G2 for $159 with free delivery. 10 year warranty for the win and fully modular. Build is almost there, going to add a custom waterloop towards the end of the year as well.

I'm going to need another HDD soon. 203GB free on my 2TB drive.

I think I'll need an HDD just for Steam.

So far I have this:

120GB SDD - Windows + other programs that load on Windows start up. I don't think this will ever need upgrading to anything bigger.
2TB HDD - Everything else
Currently playing: Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition (PC), Far Cry 6 (PC), FIFA 21 (Series X), TimeSplitters 2 (Series X BC)

Shit just got real.

GeForce 1080 Ti paired up with an Acer Predator 34 inch Gsync IPS 4k monitor.

After fresh driver install, first game I load up is, of course, Witcher 3. All settings max inc hairworks, 4k 60fps easily.

Fun times ahead. lol @ XBONE "gamers"

Lol what's xbone got to do with a hardware setup that costs 10x a xbone for card/monitor alone.

Interesting take, I have noticed a change in what high/ultra mean these days in games, most of the time they are diminishing return settings that cripple performance for very little perceivable gain.

But PC hardware industry loves pushing this expectation to sell more hardware and make you feel your hardware is inadequate.

Since you've jumped to 4k candy, something to keep in mind.

So jealous, I got blindsided by the announcement and don't have the data or cashola for it. Not ashamed to admit it'd be the third time buying it though haha. Keen to support Platinum on PC though.

I hope Sega releases more games and turns its support primarily to PC, no doubt that's where most Dreamcast owners ended up. Unlikely but Bayonetta 2 with 4K support would be heaven. I tried 4K DSR but too much screen tearing, no doubt native 4K would run better. Such a good port.

I kinda feel like I want a gaming box under the tv.

Is an RX 480 worthwhile? I have an old core2duo system gathering dust. What would happen if I threw it in that? My main system has an i5-2500k in it but I didn't want to move it to the living room.

Master race or master mistake?

You're dreaming!

You do know that Nintendo themselves (NOT Sega) not only funded the development of Bayonetta 2, as well as globally published the game - but even Nintendo's own development team in Japan co-developed Bayonetta 2 along side Platinum Games.

If Bayonetta 2 is re-released, it's going to be either on the Switch e-shop as a Wii U virtual console release, or as a brand new remastered game for Switch like so....

Great job misquoting me there, of course Bayonetta 2 is never coming to the PC you peasant. That said, Bayonetta is the kind of game that belongs on the bleeding edge of graphical fidelity, not in the playground with the Duplo playset. If Bayonetta does the numbers I have no doubt Bayonetta 3 will be on every platform but the Switch

Bayonetta 2 was released on Wii U all the way back in fucking 2014, and the CEMU team STILL can't get the game to run properly on their glitchy as fuck emulator. Keep waiting, babes!

Honestly, the possibility of a Bayonetta 3 is slim to none. The game is just way too fucking niche and people seem to forget that both Bayonetta (on PS3/360) and Bayonetta 2 (on Wii U) were commercial flops. :?

IF (and I doubt this is going to happen) there is going to be another Bayonetta...it's coming to Switch! (yet again, another similar arrangement with Nintendo funding/publishing/co-developing the game).

Also fat chance you are going to see another game by Platinum Games on an XBOX, after the debacle with Microsoft canning Scalebound - and basically hinting they axed the game because they feel that Platinum Games are shit.

Is it any surprise that Platinum Games have absolutely no future XBOX games in development? (on the other hand, Platinum Games have confirmed they are already developing multiple games for Nintendo Switch). 8)

Microsoft totally burned its bridges with Platinum Games...BIG TIME!!!, meaning NO future games from Platinum Games for XBOX!!!

Only if Sega wants it that way, last time I checked they still own the Bayonetta IP and have been turning their attention towards releasing more games on PC.

Platinum Games wants more games on the PC going forward. So if Bayonetta sells well (which it is) then the likelihood of Bayonetta 3 appearing on Steam is pretty good 8)
"The PC market is huge and can definitely not be ignored. We are absolutely aware of that, and we've always felt this way," a spokesperson for Platinum told PC Gamer. "We've always had a positive stance towards porting our titles to PC, but the decisions as to which platforms we release our games on, and which platforms are the main focus for the games we make are largely made by the publishers, so this is not something we can decide on our own."

"If it were up to us, we'd port all of our games to PC, but it all depends on the publishers."
Also, what's with the Xbox trolling? :loco:

It's not "xbox trolling". You are the one who foolishly commented that it's more likely that a Bayonetta 3 would appear on an XBOX vs Switch!

Microsoft's XBOX division fucked over Platinum Games with the mess surrounding Scalebound. It would make sense Platinum Games would want nothing to do with XBOX again - and it's looking that way considering they have absolutely nothing in the works for XBOX.

Did you even make it make it out of the short bus this morning? If Bayonetta 3 gets a release on PC as the lead platform, where it belongs mind, then it's only a simple matter to port it across to PS4/Xbone. Switch wouldn't be able to handle Bayonetta 3, it can't even handle Overwatch.

OMG...you're a fucking moron!

History has shown that Bayonetta unfortunately is NOT a commercial success - as both Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 were commercial flops. Sega putting together a quickie port of Bayonetta for PC and selling it at a bargain bin price should NOT fool you into thinking a Bayonetta 3 is a likely possibility. :wanker:

And get your facts straight, dickhead. PS4/XB1 games are capable of being ported to Switch - though with a very slight downgrade here and there (who the fuck would even buy a Nintendo Switch to play non-Nintendo games? - but that's besides the point.)

Switch is an Unreal Engine 4 compatible system after all, and two recent multiplatform games (as demonstrated below) show there really isn't all that much difference between the different versions (in fact, THE SWITCH VERSION IS GRAPHICALLY SUPERIOR TO THE PS4/XB1 VERSIONS in some regards - as Digital Foundry explains below)....
