You and GH will be able to compete against each other, bus vs backseat.

Online multiplayer is absolutely available on the Switch at present (and has been since launch). It's pretty much identical to how it works on Wii U.

What's happening is that Nintendo's fully functioning brand new online service for Nintendo Switch launches later this year. It will include online lobbies, voice chat, free monthly game downloads etc...etc.

What the fuck are you even talking about?

Nintendo have always been very clear as to the differences between MK8 & MK8D (which never included a visual improvement...except an increase in resolution from 720p to 1080p). Quite frankly it doesn't even need a graphical improvement...the game looks fucking beautiful!

The differences between the two are...

* Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is 1080p/60fps.

* Characters can now carry two items at once ("Double Item Box").

* Brand new "Battle Mode" courses (and brand new battle mode types).

* Brand new items (e.g. feather, boo).

* Brand new characters (e.g. King Boo, Inkling Girl, Gold Mario, Dry Bones).

* Brand new vehicles (e.g. Koopa Clown, Inkstriker, Splat Buggy).

* Mario Kart 8 Deluxe also includes the DLC 200CC mode + ALL DLC downloadable characters (Link, Isabelle, Tanooki Mario, etc), ALL DLC vehicle parts (wheels, parachutes, etc), ALL DLC karts/bikes/ATV's, and ALL DLC courses (Excitebike Arena, Mute City, Hyrule Circuit, etc.). That's an absolute shitload of DLC content that you had to pay for separately with the Wii U version, that now comes free with the Switch version.

Speaking of MK8D, new footage of the five brand new battle modes (Renegade Roundup, Balloon Battle, Bob-omb Blast, Shine Thief, Coin Runers)...

Ignore him Jasper. He will complain that the controls are not as good as his PC keyboard controls for doing fireballs and cancel halfway through the tournament and leave early.

Why do you think he ignores posts? He is angry that people who are better than him won't take him seriously. You are under no obligation to fly your private jet with built in switch consoles on the seat to prove he is crap. Would you fly to a location if a 5 year old kid promised to pay a measly $1000 as reward for wasting your time on a beginner? How do you know he doesn't have friends who are planning to SWAT the event just as you are winning the tournament against him so he can avoid paying and runs away as the doors are being kicked in and you get gunned down because it was rumour you were running a drug lab in Candy's house?

You got to learn the tricks of these fakes. They have escape strategy for everything.

BTW I think it is time nintendo considers making the Switch version of MK8 cross play with Wii U version so people who are too poor to pay for online and buy Switch actually can compete with Switch players under old Wii U rules. So the Switch owners boot up the game and an option to play Wii U mode comes up and you don't have any of the new items or characters or karts, but it reverts to Wii U version on Switch to play against or with people on the Wii U. Can it be done? Will they do this? And if it can be done, why not do it?

Also looking forward to USF2T because it looks like it will be great for portable play on the go. The biggest problem with many games is they are not suitable for things with short battery life. Arcadey titles with simpler controls work with with the Switch.

As for the HD Rumble feature: I think this is the future and I am curious how this will work with Skyrim? Would nintendo ever consider one day allowing mods on future Bethesda titles so you can touch the boobs of slutty argonian females and feel the scales on their reptilian body? These are important questions for nerds. People want to feel up the NPC in games like TSA agents at american airports. Look at all the porn mods on PC. (they don't get much real life sex because they are ugly balding fat neckbeards who talk too much about how Witcher 3 is perfect while
Zelda isn't even though Witcher 3 has bad combat)

I already bought the Wii U version. Stuffed if I am going to boot up a pc to play it when I can play on the bus. (after I get Switch version from not buying Mass Effect Andromeda)
But whatever. I suppose the pirates and poor kids can rejoice. (and candy can make money selling roms to them to upgrade his card)

The reason PC is dying off is precisely because of piracy and this scares the shit out of big publishers who prefer the closed platforms. Now that consoles have .5 upgrade paths I don't know why PC should exist as a gaming platform. To play old games which no longer exist or hard to find, sure. But as main game platform? Crazy. That'd be like wanting to play Street Fighter 5 on a keyboard against hackers online who use cheats to beat you. (candy's "tournament friends" lol)
There is a reason Candy that last gen SF4 is played on PS3 for tourneys ya fool. Because capcom knows your pc is doomed. It's a MMO box. Future of fighting games: fighting against each other on portable machines where you can punch the other guy in the face if he does stupid stuff. You can't trust online people.

BTW did you see my Momodora thread? You should post in it so I know if you are ignoring it. If you don't post something saying you are ignoring it, then I know you didn't ignore it. But if you don't post something in it, then I think it's being ignored for real. It's a metroidvania game that was on PC but is now available on peasant consoles. This should concern you because it means more games are coming to closed platforms and steam isn't the only place to shop anymore which is bad for valve fangirls like you.

OMFG...that is such a Candy Arse thing to do, isn't it?

GameHED wrote:Why do you think he ignores posts? He is angry that people who are better than him won't take him seriously.
Too fucking right! He sooo knows you are better at him at Street Fighter, that putting you on ignore and pretending you don't exist, is the only way Candy Arse can keep his sanity. He's fully aware that you're the real alpha male of Games Ranch, and he's your little beta bitch!

GameHED wrote:You are under no obligation to fly your private jet
BINGO! Why should I have to waste my fucking private jet fuel on a clown like Candy Arse? :?

GameHED wrote:Would you fly to a location if a 5 year old kid promised to pay a measly $1000 as reward for wasting your time on a beginner?

I think Candy Arse just wants to meet up and steal my Street Fighter moves....and you're correct, a measly $1000 for a Street Fighter connoisseur like myself (or even yourself, GameHED) having to play against a rookie beginner like Candy Arse, just isn't worth my time. 8)

I never even fucking thought about that...this meet up Candy Arse wants to plan with me, can be an elaborate plan to ruin my life. OMFG...you're the only one here who has warned me what he's really up to....THANK YOU!!! :)

MARIO KART 8 SWITCH ~ MC SCORE 94 ~ BEST RACER IN 16 YEARS!

Post by Jasper »

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

OMFG...THE REVIEWS ARE IN AND MARIO KART 8 DELUXE IS OFFICIALLY THE BEST RACER IN OVER 16 FUCKING YEARS! (AND OFFICIALLY THE SECOND BEST RACING GAME IN HISTORY, RIGHT BEHIND GRAND TURISMO 3 ON PS2)!

Image
GamesRadar - 10/10
Three years on: still a classic, and with its biggest weakness fixed. If you own a Switch it’s a no-brainer.
Digital Spy - 10/10
At its heart, playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a completely different experience to playing Mario Kart 8 precisely because of how, and where, you play it. The feel and fun of the thing is an intrinsic part of gaming and there's just so much fun to be had when you throw portability and local multiplayer into the fray.
USgamer - 10/10
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a victory lap for an amazing entry in the series. The only place Mario Kart 8 faltered was in its Battle Mode and Nintendo has rectified that here with a full-fledged version. 48 courses, 42 characters, 8 battle arenas, 5 battle modes, extensive multiplayer action, and the ability to take console Mario Kart with you wherever you go. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is absolutely worth the asking price.
God is a Geek - 10/10
This is the definitive Mario Kart 8 experience, which ultimately makes it one of the best kart-racers ever made.
Trusted Reviews - 10/10
After Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the next Nintendo Switch must-buy. It’s the best the series has ever been, offering one definitive package. With the glorious return of Battle Mode, improved visuals and more content than ever before coupled with more ways to play it than ever thanks to the Nintendo Switch, I don’t think fans could ask for much more.
Destructoid - 9.5/10
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is straight-up a better version of the game without compromise. It looks better, there's more to do, it's portable, and it might even outsell the Wii U version to ensure a healthier long term community.
Game Informer - 9.3/10
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is primarily a re-release of an acclaimed game from three years ago, but by adding new content and addressing the biggest complaint of the original, this version is unquestionably the best way to experience Nintendo's great racer. Battle mode is back to its original glory, and when combined with the rest of the robust Mario Kart 8 package, it creates a great addition to the fledgling Switch library.
IGN - 9.3/10
An amazing game for all the same reasons I mentioned in our original review. It’s still a gorgeous kart racer and every bit as addictive as it was in 2014. This is the best entry in the series so far, and it has all the content you’ll need. Returning players have seen a lot of this game before, but the overhauled Battle mode and its five additional ways to play are a great reason to pick it up.
Awesome news for those who want to get their hands on the BEST RACER IN 16 YEARS!!!... :-D

I can't wait for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Nintendo Switch, and all it's wonderful improvements...

* 1080p and locked at 60fps (no unplayable frame-rate, glitches, audio problems, controller problems, broken textures, animation glitches, etc like your joke CEMU version).

* Characters can now carry two items at once ("Double Item Box").

* Brand new "Battle Mode" courses (and brand new battle mode types).

* Brand new items (e.g. feather, boo).

* Brand new characters (e.g. King Boo, Inkling Girl, Gold Mario, Dry Bones).

* Brand new vehicles (e.g. Koopa Clown, Inkstriker, Splat Buggy).

* Brand new customisable vehicle parts.

* Much faster loading time.

* The ability to play MK8D on the go in portable mode (including portable mode online play via WiFi or simply by tethering your mobile phone to your Switch).
