Yeah this isn't 1992 where going to the Broncos means you're more than likely going to play in a Grand Final. This is 2017 where the most notable thing the Boncos have done in over a decade is literally drop a premiership. Outside of that they're completely irrelevant.

Pretty obvious that they're cooking the books.

P.S good move getting on-board with the Raiders. If we stay healthy we SHOULD make the GF and will be good enough to win it.

Well it's still early days. But Raiders are my favorite team in the top 8 right now. Based on the top 8 this they're the only team that are likeable, haven't had every advantage handed to them and play an attractive brand of football.

Dragons would probably be my next pick. But I can't help but feel everything has lined up perfectly for them so far and that they will turn to shit at some point. They have been terrific for sure. But they are overachieving massively. Possibly caught the competition off guard. I just seem them scraping into the 8 and being eliminated week 1 or 2. Which is still a great achievement for the roster they have.

Yep. Knights could go all the way with the advantages Broncos get.

NRL 2K17 - Raiders on fire, Boncos awful

The NRL, its owners (News Ltd) and subsidiaries (of which the Broncos still are one) thank Michael Maguire for his 10k donation last night. :fight:

Thank fuck for the NRL assisting their team once again last night, it takes the focus away from the Raiders blowing a game they could have won 3 or 4 times over.

Broncos get dudded again this week. Panthers get an advantage of a 5 day turnaround against them at Suncorp... its like the NRL are trying to sabotage them.

Im hoping this is the match that gets Griffin sacked. He's doing worse than Elliott ever did

Listening to Elliott on ABC radio makes me wonder how he was such a bad coach, or ineffective. I wonder if he just wasn't tough enough on the players?

I don't think the NRL even cares anymore, they're happy for everyone to see how much they assist the Boncos.

He also does nrl.com videos where he breaks things down. He is a very smart guy. Well spoken and seems to know his shit.

Ive gotten the impression he is more of a mate to the players then a coach. He lets them run the club basically. His teams become his best mates and its just a slippery slope for an NRL coach.

Yeah the way he comments on what he is about to break down, and then explains himself is awesome. I swear Anthony Griffin needs to watch them... that cunt seems to have literally no idea at all. Panthers were at their best last year after a few injuries forced changes to the team.

This year he gets a near full strength side and has no idea what to do. We are yet to see the centre pairing that took us to the finals last year, despite both players being fit all year aside from one game where Peachey missed with broken ribs.

We are yet to see Moylan given a proper role in the halves, despite the only strength of his game being ball playing. Take that out of the equation and he is by far the worst fullback in the NRL. Considering ball playing is only a minor part of the fullback role, for me that makes him the worst fullback.

Maybe Elliott can do a breakdown on Moylan... i'll send the link to Griffin. If not I should make a highlights package of all the tries scored against us because he wasn't at fullback. There's usually 2 or 3 each week. Eels first 2 tries were grubbers in goal where Moylan was nowhere to be seen. Our halves end up doing the cleanup work because he's trying to do their job.

Not egen 5 minutes in and the bunker has made it clear they are on Broncos.

Just overturned the ref when video showed ref was spot on.

Bigger issues for Penrith than bunker decisions unfortunately

Oh definitely. Panthers are deadset shit. That's not news.

But the Bunker has come up with baffling calls 2 weeks in a row for the Broncos. Calls that are 100% wrong and its hard to imagine they are just innocent mistakes.

You dont see other clubs get those same calls often.

Storm two games clear, Slater close to his best. That he could spend so long out of the game, at his age, and upon returning attain man of the match form so quickly is pretty incredible.

Hes playing well. But still not near his best yet. Not sure that's even possible.

He will continue to improve though. Storm will only get better as a result.

NRL 2K17 - refs help Boncos win again

I read a stat today that when Smith, Cronk and Slater are playing together Melbourne win 72% of their games.

Honestly it surprises me the only win 72% of their games when all 3 are fit. Craig Bellamy has a 67% win rate for Storm in general.

Thats just amazing. Slater especially has missed a lot of time. Origin matches with all 3 missing. Yet his record is close to the same as with all 3 playing still.
