That's... not a bad plan, but then I'd probably be looking at a USB hub as well, and this is quickly becoming a mess. I'll consider it, but would still like to hear from anyone who's upgraded the internal HDD.

I upgraded the stock drive to a 1tb one a couple of years ago. I followed this guide.

Thanks for that. The process looks pretty straight-forward.

Reading around it sounds like there's not much if any advantage in getting a hybrid SSHD, so I'm looking at this 2TB external for $109, the plan being to pop it open and swap the drives. Still shopping around as it seems unbelievable that Officeworks would provide the cheapest option... but I guess there's a first time for everything.

I had a look into the USB hub situation on PS4 and frankly it looks like a clusterfuck best avoided.

It depends on which region the code is and what region your account is, I think. I know dlc codes for ntsc games don't work on Pal games.

If you buy a game overseas that save file won't be compatible with the same game from a different region.

I had MGS:GZ from overseas, then decided to buy digital from Aus psn and had to start from the beginning.

I was under the impression that digital games saves weren't compatible with physical game saves even when from the same country. I gave my physical copy of Motorstorm Apocalypse away when I competed it and then a while later it was on PS+, the PS+ version didn't recognise my game save. This was the case with nearly all games last gen.

Playstation 4 thread

Post by flipswitch »

PS4 went back into rest mode again automatically and from my knowledge there's no fix. I'll be picking up a new slim PS4 tomorrow by the looks of it. Not happy about doing this ( spending all that money) but I really have no choice.

Picked this up.

https://ebgames.com.au/ps4-801267-New-L ... yStation-4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

New-Look PlayStation 4 1TB Black Console + 2 Games + Extra Controller for $439.

I'll be selling the new controller and two games.

Transferring my data to new PS4. 585.5GB. Only 16 hours left..

Edit: have them consoles connected together. Now says 4hrs.

Finally got around to installing a 2TB HDD in my stock PS4. Relatively painless procedure*, just waiting for the restore to complete. :)

* Stabbed myself with a screwdriver a little bit

Killing Floor 2 & Life is Strange are June's PS4 Plus offerings. There are also a couple of Vita crossplay games and 4 PS3 games including WRC5.

I noticed Wipeout Omega in store today. I wonder if it's 3DTV compatible? #2010

Spewin. I enjoy/ed 3DTV gaming while it lasted.

EB manger seemed especially stroppy at price matching $39 Targét price today. I've never forgiven them for splitting the GCN Wind Waker/Ocarina combo into two "second hand" titles for $150 so I make a point of price matching all of the loss-leaders.

If you like Wipeout, get it.

The Wipeout gameplay is still brilliant.

Pre-ordered Crash N-Sane Trilogy today, EB Lizardmen have a deal for $20 + any two PS4/Xbone/Switch games (except Elder Scrolls Online). Picked up a couple of copies of Titanfall for $6 and used those.

Other good candidates for rorting this include Fifa 14, Fifa 15, Destiny and Watch Dogs, any combination of which should net you Crash for <$35.
