Now that this game is being shown off by people who know what they're doing, I'm even more excited now. Game looks sick and the tag mechanic has a LOT of versatility - combo extensions, setups etc.

Can't wait for this!

It looks good but come on Candy you know Dragon Ball Fighter Z was the highlight of the fighting games at E3.

One thing that worries me is one day the feminists will take over and start putting "body positivity" nonsense in games.

So what you will see in 10 years time is marvel characters looking like ordinary people with unfit bodies.

It's already happening in comics and they are working on making the female fighters more fat and with small tits.
This is why I will support japanese fighting games now and try to avoid western made (feminist and SJW friendly) stuff.

I told you guys they are infiltrating gaming now and you never believed me. That is why they are making females ugly in the bioware rpgs. Will I buy this game? Probably. But I fear the future is going to be controlled by disney who are SJW-friendly.

First Mad Max, then Ghostbuster, then star wars. Next: Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite sequels. No boobs or bubble butts for you boys. Meanwhile nintendo is giving us pornstar bodies in ARMS with Twintelle who works out at the gym and does yoga and avoids eating at maccas. Japan is the one to save us from these annoying lesbian feminists who are jealous of the sexy characters in cartoons. Dragon's Crown was the first game to spark this reaction. So I am glad nintendo is finally making games region free.

Capcom on the other hand? They are going to cave. They did it already by removing boob jiggle on chun li for SF5. The only guy to stand up to these groups is the guy behind tekken games. You need to join the rsistence.

Also candy the future fighting games are getting more casual friendly now.
So it stands to reason they WILL have to cave for the newer audiences if they want to make money and survive. (this means if your audience is a SJW the females will be toned down - which is why I don't like 3D CG anymore and prefer the cartoony style because at least the developers can say they deliberately exaggerated the features of the sexy character as part of the art style)
We came a long way from the days when nintendo had to cover the tits on the statues on final fight on the SNES. Now we are experiencing a time of censorship again but from the SJW and not the religious fundies.
MVC from now on needs to be made in japan using anime style art where it is safe from feminist tampering candy. Can't you and boomy do something? Why is Chun Li so ugly eeeeew..

Oh and it is stupid not to release this game on the switch. If it can handle UE4 at medium details, it should be able to handle this. Is this a sony and MS moneyhat thing of timed exclusive? Nintendo needs to get SF4 Ultra at least for the Switch. The guy on the street who is shit at games but loves fighting games wants to be able to buy capcom fighters but they seem to always avoid going to nintendo consoles. It makes more sense to release to ALL platforms. It must be because capcom can't afford to release it to all systems due to poor sales of SF5 thanks to sony stunting them from broadening the base of players.

The future is cross play amoung all the systems in fighting games. If other companies can do cross play between different platforms I see no reason why capcom can't work on this for future. It makes so much sense and will keep the fighting game niche alive because there is more total people to play with/against online.

Hopefully the next SF Street Fighter 6 will go back to SF3 Third Strike style.

-Make the game have limited number of characters
-no DLC characters
-aimed at competitive gamers (but numerous assist modes for noobs and casuals who lack skills)
-all modes included on rlease (story modes, arcade modes, experimental tag modes as seen in Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX on PSP)
-easy to get into but hard to master (a guy who focuses on technique takes more skill but a guy who uses basic moves effectively can win on tactical decisions - ie not everyone in the game is a combo-centric character. A well-timed simple move used at just the right moment but consistently executed without mistakes is also effective. It isn't hard for capcom to test before release.
-the esports thing is silly. People should play because they like playing fighting games not because they want to win prizes, win a belt, and put trophies in their cabinet. That can be part of the fighting scene but not the whole reason to play. I get why they want to make money out of competitive fighting, but the commericial side of hings should never take over from playing for fun. A game that's not fun but which you play just to win attention in competition is stupid. You like the game because you enjoy playing it, not becoming a celebrity. They just want to use the community as testers.

Because capcom is going with the EA approach to fighting games, they made it annoying for general audience and made the series into a niche. When new characters are added to the series, there is nothing stopping capcom making those new characters slightly overpowered on purpose so that the poor guys have to upgrade to buying access to them. This then makes everyone want to test the new ones, then when people exploit them, capcom can nerf the new characters just as the next batch of even NEWER characters is about to come out causing the poor guy to have to buy more stuff.

In theory it keeps the series alive but only in a bad way that exploits people. I think capcom should just make gams with fewer characters, but balance the shit out of the game, then make a whole new game after that. The EA "Roster Update" shit is pissing off people who want competitive games but without the season pass nonsense. Street Fighter 6 needs to be SF: The Reboot. Forget exclusivity. Make a new SF that combines the best things in all the past games and refines upon them. (after monster hunter world is finished. Looks like they put all the effort into this project by the look of it)

Yep I've been through it a few times. I'm really liking it, the game is far more open-ended than even I thought it would be with what I've seen.

I'd like to get a demo for this game where it's even just training mode so I can really start trying some shit out.

Ono has also said that they're going to be working on the graphics between now and release. They need to because it doesn't look as cool visually as MvC3, let alone Dragon Ball.

Lot of peeps are making fun of the character models. Wouldn't be hard to fix if this was made completely in japan where they always try to make females hot. SF5 characters were good. What happened? As the new Capcom Executive you should be working to change this candy. It's the feminists in america I bet...

Meanwnwhile ArcSysWorks is generating hype with DBZ and people are calling it the real MVC game (but with DBZ skin) :lol:
I often wonder what it would be like if they could get the license to do the anime X-men game. (only x-men characters)

Doesn't look like they took my idea of a monster from monster hunter seriously though. Would have been good to have giants like in Tatsunoko vs capcom. (would control similar to Sentinel in older VS games ie really slow to move but good range and very easy to hit from far away due to large size. Plus combos are easy on them due to lack of ability to avoid most attacks - but if you tank through things you can turn a fight around. Biting or eating the character with your mouth heals you because you are feeding on them. Also boost hidden stamina guage so you move a little bit faster and cures your drooling state; drooling means your special moves don't do as much damage unless you are in rage mode which you activate at will. In rage mode, you do more damage but take more damage too and move a little faster. Once the timer runs out you go back to normal mode. If you don't bite or feed on the character you go into drool mode so moves do less damage and you are tired version of the monster: using lower damage moves to build up stamina is the key so you can conserve energy. You play defensive when tired and hunt them down when you have got enough energy to rush them down with quick damaging moves that use up energy. It's all about resource management as a giant. Unlike robots monsters have dodge move which acts like a teleport which is timed just right you can get around the other guy for throws which can buy time or keep them at certain zone on the stage to try to trap them.)

Still no X-men. :( I miss juggernaut.

Reviews say it's good but the roster harms it a bit due to fans missing out on all the x-men characters.
What's the cheapest place to buy?

SJWs ruined the game by deliberately making everyone's face ugly. Fuck the illuminati.

And hopefully with all the complaints about the graphics looking gneeric they go with a more stylised look to the characters again like back in the 90s when games like Darkstalkers and Street Fighter Alpha were al the rage. (ie exagerated body proportions, growing and shrinking objects and body parts that remind you it's not real world, and anime-colored background to match the anime colored sprites in the foreground for an overall uniform and consistent style. (not a tech demo showing off effects)

Now that this is done can they please work on Street Fighter III 2 on the switch with HD graphics and toon shaded models like Tatsunoko vs capcom? Thanks.. we all know Switch is the true fighting game platform of choice and not PC where everyone can hack the game and cheat and you can't slap people in the face for exploiting bugs which would be possible if you met them in person using switch on a bus, park, airplane, spaceship, or submarine.

..so capcom needs to pay attention to what their competition is doing (hint make your games easy for noobs to get into without sacrificing the pro players and esports people - learn from SF5 mistakes) if they want to survive long enough before nintendo finally buys them and gets them to work on nintendo vs capcom fighting games on switch after scrapping smash bros.

Hint to Arc System Works: please add blood and bruises and clothing damage to the cg models in Dragon Ball Fighter Z. It's 2017 you fucking weaklings. How hard can it be to put in shit that the senran kagura games have had for ages?!
When you get hit by supers I want to see the uniform slowly tear off and steam on the character too, not just backgrounds altering during a fight.
I think that is one thing that is easy to do now that we are in the age of 3D graphics. As your lifebar reaches close to the end your character looks more worn out.

-clothing damage system
-blood and bruises and burn marks on characters
-option to play the game with a single fight with no partner and you can eat a senzzu bean to heal yourself in place of using two people. (the fight last just as long as tag mode this way and you can learn a single character faster) Often in the show whenever there was a fight, the other fighters would wait their turn to attack the villain instead of interfere suddenly which is considered cheating the guy who they are cheering for of his solo victory. Players could set rules of a fight.

Thank god pc gamers don't have all the fighting games as exclusives on their platform... You guys have to press f1 just to figure out how to do a dragon punch because you are too lazy to get good and hide yourself in your mom's baselement rather than go to people's houses to play face to face. By the way:
I just found out another great PC exclusive is now on console platforms:

Candy doomed. Didn't even know this game even existed. Sick of you guys trying to hide these from us by not mentioning them so nobody gets to buy them on consoles where they all belong in the first place! :down: The wait for the next great switch zelda game is much more easy to bear with two YS games on console to play. (YS Viii out now on digital stores and retail copy out tomorrow)

Sometimes I wish nintendo would just make Zelda into a full blown action rpg instead of an action adventure game so their games are closer to Ys games with stories and characters. Maybe nintendo can make a deal to do a crossover game where you see the two universes clash with each other through a dimensional portal or something? (Link and Adol team up to fight a common threat which is plotting to rule over both worlds)


If you want to be good at fighters candy you need to play people on your level or above not random people. There is a mind game involved in winning and the strategy of knowing the person you will be playing against is part of the winning in a game. If you just play for fun with casual gamers online you will never get better. *sigh* nevermind you wouldn't get it..

Watching the giantbom quicklook and apparently capcom is still lagging behind arcsystemworks in the tutorial department.
It might be worth capcom's time to get their staff to actually play guilty gear Xrd Revelator 2 and just rip them off.

There is no shame in ripping off the best. Especially if the people are asking for better tutorials and want to learn how to get good.

As the popularity of esports grows there will be more noobs wanting these features in modern fighting games to help them catch up with the veteran players.

It's all about presentation. Previously what capcom have done is forgotten the casual gamer and just said "fuck it, lets just make a game for people who already play these games all the time" and this has caused new players to be afraid to play games with complex systems.

Hopefully by the time they get to Capcom vs SNK 3 they will have mastered the art of training the noob in how to be good, not just explain what's in there. Explaining what's there, and giving hints as to why you do something are two seperate things. One is just an instruction on the doing of the thing, and the other explains how to best use it so they learn the reason why they should know about it in the context of competitive play.

I think they do this (be vague about stuff) on purpose to sell strategy guides LOL

To all fighting game companies: if you want good scores from eurogamer, edge, popular youtube channels who do thorough reviews, you got to zoom out a bit and look at the big picture: your games are not games made for fighting game fans, but games fighting games fans want to play because the games are good and they want to play them. Not because they are fighting games but because they are well made games.

This idea that you should only make games for a certain very-specific group or closed community has cost you low sales and loss in points because you got to look at the big picture and see where the general game fans are coming from who have played games from a wide variety of companies. If your interface looks like shit, it's because you are bad at presentation. If your characters look ugly, it's because you haven't seen previous fighting games that did it better. Try not to get too butthurt at fans, just try to fix those problems and compare yourself to the best games that are out there. Poor sales doesn't mean we want fighting game genre to die off. It just means the game lacks the polish of the best ones currently out there.

The same criticism also applied to KOF14 when it first came out with the ps2 level visuals. We love the series, just can't help but notice the loss in quality. (this new MVC game should look better than UMVC3 which is old)

I think it would have been best if this game never went with the cg look and instead reverted back to the flat shaded look of Tatsunoko vs Capcom. And many agree with me. Please if you ever do Capcom SNK 3 go with the comic or cartoon shaded look again. I don't like the toyetic look for fantasy beings. Nintendo manages to get away with it all the time and their games look amazing but that is because it is consistent with the world the characters are in. Stop listening to fanboys and "yes" men who just want to suck your balls and pay attention to the proper fans who are the most important customers. Dragon Ball Fighter Z is going to kick your butt when it comes out and Guilty Gear Xrd Rev2 already does now. Go back to the comic book (whether it be inked in or toon shaded I don't mind) look so they match the comic book versions of characters and not the cinematic universe disney versions of the characters please.

That's the main thing that bugs me. Ever since ryus hobbit feet in street fighter 4 and how characters own bodies don't deform when someone kicks them in the gut or bend and stretch when being bear hugged or react to being hit by changing shape to show impact of the opponent's fist against their body. You got that sense that characters were real things in the 2D sprite days of darkstalkers when they would actually do exagerated cartoon expression to indicate what type of impact or crush damage was being done to them. (the same expressive acting you see chinese stuntmen do in kung fu movies to give the watcher a sense of what happened to them and the force behind hits. 3d CG model are just shit at making the person look like they are actually being hurt when they get punched, kicked, squashed etc compared to handdrawn art and animation. Sorry but its true and we all know they just do use CG model in modern anime shows as a cost saving measure and not because we actually WANT it. :P )

It's the same reason I didn't like the NEW super mario series when they used CG graphics for mario instead of the 2D handrawn look of Wario Shake Dimension. :( graphics for fantasy beings has gotten worse. And it's all due to greed. SNK: go back to KOF13 sprites and capcom, please revert back to Cel shaded stuff. Fuck marvel and the cinematic universe shit. Pretty much everyone agrees the older games had more character to them. It's missing a soul. If they can fix that problem they will get better scores.
