Hah. In hindsight I wish I tried to have more fun with it rather than telling him where to stick it. Damn.Lepo5 wrote:So'd you ask him out?

Of course the good Colonel was referring to slavery at the time but hey, lets not open up that can of KFC

Yeah I don't get it. But whatever you say Mr. Colonel!
Re: Up the Mighty Liberals! #inmalcolmwetrust
When I was a kid, I thought the Colonel's tie in the KFC logo was actually little stick figure arms and legs. Still makes me laugh whenever I see it.

Yes! Same here, and occasionally I still double-take when I see him!

YES vote has won. Same sex marriage is now expected to be legalised before Christmas!

Looks like a lot of NSW electorates voted no, so lestat's not going to get bashed tonight by celebrating yes voters. Paul Keating's old seat went 74% no!

Majority of the electorates that voted no are Labour seats

Re: Up the Mighty Liberals! #inmalcolmwetrust
No wonder the politicians made a mess of this, their voter demographics are at odds with the party ideology.
In a way a plebiscite was probably the only way to override this conundrum.

Re: Up the Mighty Liberals! #inmalcolmwetrust
We can pretty much guess the ideology/demographic of the majority of the seats that voted so highly no in Western Sydney

It seems that Juliar and the Mong were actually doing the right thing by their voters. It seems that Labor voters, in general, are mostly just bigots.

Re: Up the Mighty Liberals! #inmalcolmwetrust
I thought NSW would have a much higher vote for YES.. but when you look at the demographics of those western Sydney seats.. I get it and it doesn't surprise me.
The thing about this is that while those Labor seats had that result.. those MPs were voted in for other policies/reasons. Even if they stand by their electorate's votes.. the YES Bill should still make it over the line based on the chatter I've been reading.
While it was all bullshit.. and completely unnecessary.. it's comforting to know that my gut feeling was right and that the majority of Australians aren't total cunt biscuits.

Never seen a more bigoted bunch of bigots. So tired of bigotry.Cletus wrote:It seems that Juliar and the Mong were actually doing the right thing by their voters. It seems that Labor voters, in general, are mostly just bigots.

Re: Up the Mighty Liberals! #inmalcolmwetrust
So one third of eligible people who participated (which equates to 20% of all people in Australia) are selfish arseholes who want to oppose their prejudices onto others?
Why am I not surprised?

It wasn't just Muslims..
Secondly.. Some communities are just so each other's pockets and thus don't really have that ability to progress.
It happens everywhere.. it's not great but I understand it.

I realise it's not just Muslims. But it is just muslims who have escaped being labelled a bigot through all of this.

Re: Up the Mighty Liberals! #inmalcolmwetrust
What about the chinese? if anything.. their community has been even worse.
Perhaps my perception is different.. but while the muslim community may be against it.. I didn't see them pushing ads like the ACL or Coalition for Marriage. I didn't see them being as vocal or aggressive.. they had their view and voted that way... whereas the ACL and Coalition for Marriage were actively spouting their dumbfuckery.
I can't be sure though.. since in Brisbane.. we had a decent turn out for YES so maybe I just didn't see the other shit.

Have you been to Sydney lately? I give it 20 years and we'll be just a satelite state of China, the amount of properties we're building and selling to them is crazy, it is a silent invasion.GeneraL CyberFunK wrote:What about the chinese? if anything.. their community has been even worse.
