He and Russell Packer are two players who should have had lifetime bans from the NRL.
Yet Todd Carney is the one they seem to gave issue with. As dumb as he was... he didn't try to kill people like those two.

Carney has had umpteen chances. I'm weary of this bloke but he should get a second chance.

He's already had his second chance
Born in Sydney, New South Wales, Lodge played his junior rugby league for St. Patricks Blacktown before being signed by the Penrith Panthers. He played for the Panthers' NYC team in 2012.[2]
In September 2012, Lodge signed a contract with the Melbourne Storm starting in 2013. He played for the Storm's NYC team in 2013 and 2014. He was named at prop in the 2013 NYC Team of the Year.
Lodge was representing the NSW under-20s side when he was given a 3-week suspension after he was televised with the word "cunt" clearly written on his wrist strapping.[3][4][5]
In June 2014, Lodge joined the Wests Tigers mid-season for the remainder of the season,[6] joining their NYC squad. In Round 17 of the 2014 NRL season, Lodge made his NRL debut for the Tigers against his former team, the Penrith Panthers.[7] He made four first grade appearances for the year. He was described as a "110kg battering ram," who was "certain to feature in the regular squad next season."[8] Later in the year, he was chosen to participate in the NSW under-20s pathway camp.[9]
On 19 October 2015, Lodge was sacked by the Tigers after being arrested in New York City.[10] He was due back in court for sentencing in December after entering a guilty plea.[11]
After spending some time with the Redcliffe Dolphins in the Queensland Cup, Lodge signed a 1-year contract with the Brisbane Broncos starting in 2018.[12]

Because he had "cunt" written on his wrist before the NY incident?
That's a pretty insignificant crime. He's copped his punishment, give him another shot.

This is true. There's no better club to rehabilitate a young, misdirected bloke.

Yep - no better club to take a grub and turn him into an even bigger one. Partner him up with Jack Bird

Jack Bird wrote: "I just felt like I needed a change and I felt like Brisbane was the right choice for me," he said on the Broncos' website this week.
“I also wanted to play under Wayne as well and try to better myself as a person and player.
At least we have the Raiders to develop humans like Carney and Ferguson.

Hes had enough chances. Some things are unforgivable IMO. He doesnt deserve another shot at the NRL.
But hey Broncos dont care if a player is a serial killer so long as they think he can help them win. They'll bury the bodies for him.

Are you talking about the incident where police found the players had nothing to answer?

Come on man, Broncos are hardly a club that doesn't take these things seriously.

wtf, you're a Canberra Raiders supporter! Monaghan, anyone? Tilse? Remember he broke into a girls dorm, climbed on the back of a girl and started to massage her whilst whispering "shhhh it'll be okay".
Canberra Raiders: He'll complement our culture quite nicely! *signed*

Spewing Tonga didnt win. Daniel Tupou dropped the easiest try of the tournament. Aswell as the controversial no try at the end.
Hard to see Australia losing this.

Was a no try every day of the week. It's frustrating watching Cecchin cop a lot of shit for it.

Finally some good NRL news. Fuck Manly.
Hopefully they are forced to lose the Trbojevic brothers as a result.

Clubs need to model themselves on the Broncos. Exemplary figures of our game.

Bulldogs, Storm, Eels and Sea Eagles tried.
