It will never leave early access like it seems almost all games on Steam. I refuse to buy any in this state anymore as once the cash is coming in they lose their impetus to actually finish the game and end up sidetracked etc. With the amount of cash this thing has brought in it says a lot at how poor the PC version still is and this XBOX attempt is just taking the cash hat and giving lip service to the end product.
This is also why I never preorder. Holding money back has positive effects. Pay after the thing is ready, not before. People these days have gotten soft. No wonder the big publishers are going crazy with loot boxes. They see how little effort is needed to please and take advantage of the dumb guys.

WOW...Digital Foundry just keep trashing PUBG more and more in every follow up video & article about the game. Even after the fucking patch, PUBG is still constantly dropping as low as 19FPS on Xbox One X!
And this was supposed to be Microsoft's one and only "must-have" game (not even an exclusive) to get the masses rushing into stores to purchase an Xbox One X.
AS DIGITAL FOUNDRY SAID IN THE ABOVE VIDEO...WHAT A FUCKING "DISASTER"!!!
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has just received an upgrade patch for Xbox One X enhancing the game to take advantage of the additional power offered by the console. Similar patch for PS4™ Pro has been released a few weeks ago.
The Xbox One X upgrade patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt introduces a number of graphical features and tweaks to the game across two visual fidelity options — 4K Mode and Performance Mode.
In 4K Mode the game will run in 4K resolution (or supersampled on a non-4K display) with stable 30fps gameplay, whereas Performance Mode enables dynamic resolution scaling (from 1080p up to 4K) while targeting 60 fps during gameplay. Both modes support HDR.
To switch between these modes you need to access Options > Display
In the Advanced section you will be able to choose between 4K Mode and Performance Mode:
An upgrade patch introducing HDR support will soon be released for the PS4™ Pro console as well.
List of changes for Xbox One X:
-2 new graphic modes: 4K Mode and Performance Mode
-support for 4K resolution
-HDR support
-enhanced shadows, ambient occlusion and texture filtering
-higher resolutions textures
-dynamic resolution scaling (from 1080p to 4K)
Video here from DF:
From about the 4min20sec mark they test fps on 4K mode vs Performance mode, but it shows that in performance mode it can't even handle 60fps, mostly in the 40s which sucks. CPU issue.
I'm fine with open world rpg games being 30fps. We are spoilt brats. Consistent 60 would be great but it's not a racing sim. Immersion is more important and moving at slow speed, high detail with a bit of stutter is preferable to uglier graphics since you will notice it more in rpg. If a game is slow paced the engine should be designed around it. Anyway ZeldaBOTW on switch and wiiu is way better so no reason to talk so much about Witcher 3 which isn't as good. Shit controls make me angry.

They will always be 30 fps on consoles. With more powerful technology they will opt for increasing the fidelity rather than hitting 60 fps. Immersion is more important than 60 fps in these games.
Start the death watch. My Xbox One X died yesterday, HDD fart-infarction. Replaced today with a new one no questions asked. EB are very good when it comes to that.

Always wait for the gunuiea pigs to encounter the early problems before dipping in. No seal of quality with MS stuff that you get with nintendo..
Oh well better get indian tech support to tell us it might be user error because we might have forgot to plug the machine in to power it.
