good weapon for a commander, i've seen some great places to plant them (after you allies leave) so your enemies will surely run into them if they want to attack your base
That's what I want them for. I ran over just one and it fucked up my scout, so hopefully it will do the same to other hounds.

Heat Seeking comes from an "S" rank (Keep enemy away from the HQ) on the first Defender mission I think.

I'm a spastic at that one for some reason. I can only get A because the little bastards get some shots off at the base before I kill 'em, and I can't choose my own design for it.

Edit - also pilon there are different types at the shop. One drops larger but fewer mines for base defence, another drops more but weaker mines for harrassing enemies.

looks like sal kar is stronger this time 'round, we should have more weapons available, maybe there's mines and shit.

Finished the Scout levels, and picked up some nice new items including the land mines (TIMES FOUR~!). Cant be fucked getting S rank on some of them. That fucking "secure all combas towers" one took about 25 minutes.

Sal Kar is kicking arse this time around. I've been slugging it out in one particular defensive area as I trial new mech designs...all of which were shit and I gave up on 'em, but at least those test runs would've helped a little.

Be sure to do some Neroimus war missions if you jump on to play around in the garage or anything. We'll probably still lose to Morskoj, but I reckon we might see Tarakia off this time.

This also means we have more areas to play in at the moment, if we ever get around to another session with lots of us on.

Whoa! Check out the leaderboard now - Tarakia is no more, Sal Kar owns all of the south, and the Morskoj commies have a USSR sized block above that. Looks like we'll be crushed by the weight of 'em sooner or later, but still great going.

Some of those fields near Tarakia look fucken awesome, and they are good areas to play in too. It's nice to be able to play a few different locations, but I guess Morskoj will take our capital soon...

I just jumped on for another quick bash and to see how things are going. The war has restarted (Morskoj won it again overnight).

On 2 of the games I entered another human showed up. I was a little worried that I might face pile rushers or something, but I took my sniper dude instead of my pile rushing bastard just to be fair. The first one I ended up toe to toe with - I was quicker than him and managed to circle strafe him to deadness as he tried to hit me with missiles.

The second one used a design that I've heard some people complaining about lately - it had two double heavy cannon / howitzer things from the recent download pack. Quite deadly with the splash damage, but I got some good sniper shots on him at a distance then kept backing off and moving around as he approached. I ended up hiding behind a COMBAS tower and then popping out between his shots to hit him from a distance, and totally kicked his arse. Good fun.

Is anyone else still playing this? Seems like it's only me and Jizz left interested. BTW Jizz - sorry, but that last one against a human took me up to corporal rank, so the AI will probably get even harder now.

I haven't been online much over the last week because I was capped and went to the wrestling. And now I've got a cold :(. But I'll try and get back online, I've been missing trying out my new designs.

in each map there's combas towers, stand next to them and you control a radius for communications so you can talk to you team mates or your commander can spot enemies.

if you haven't killed your oposition, or destroyed their base, the winner is the team controlling the most combas towers.

So destroying the combas towers would be a good thing. Break communications. Sounds like a fair strat to me.

I don't think you can destroy them, at least I haven't seen it done.
you can take control of them, so taking one in the middle of a battle is a good idea.

it's a legit way to play and win, one class is made to go aroung taking combas towers

Whoa! I just jumped on to fiddle with my design a bit, and as soon as I appeared I received a new medal. WTF?!?! Turns out it's a medal for wiping out another nation - Morskoj. Sal Kar has, at least temporarily, destroyed Morskoj. Unbelievable!
