Yeah that Sega Ages Golden Axe is fucking SHIT!
Best one they've done so far imo is Virtua Racing followed by Fighting Vipers.

I actualy agree with talez, me and a mate saw this classics collection at an EB sale and snapped it up - spent the afternoon playing and loving the remakes.
Sure they wern't perfect, but it was fun to see crazy hackjob remakes of childhood favourites, and fun to play them co-op!

WTF EB? I gave up waiting for a PAL release in the meantime I ended up finding a copy of Virtua Racing on the Megadrive!

It's the exact same game as on the arcade except with 3D graphics.
All of it controls just like the arcade did with 2D sprites. I fired up MAME just to be sure

No it aint, there's a coherent story now that's helluva funny cos it's so lame, and they nerfed the attack rate of some stuff I swear (Dwarf).
I still loved it.

I played the warrior and it was pretty much exactly the same.
I think the reviewer at that gamespot just got pissed because he realised how shit he was at those games as a kid and he's still shit and blaming it on the controls when they were always like that.
and OMFG the best conversion of VR ever.

I didn't read the review, but I'm almost positive the attack rate of the dwarf got a hard nerf.

It's a remake though so it won't tarnish much, if you hate it just hate the remake
The original is still a fucking AWESOME game I played it through with a mate a while back and it was still mad fun, prolly moreso than the remake heh but that was fun aswell.

How is the music in Golden Axe? They better not have changed a single bar of it.

It's called Sega Classics Collection here?
If so it's $Corey at K-Mart According to the new Catalogue. Or 3 games for $60 if I can find something else worth having in the bargain bin.
So based on the above info is this a good price or can I scam it at EB cheaper?

If you want to play a great version of Golden Axe, play GA2 Revenge of Death Adder on MAME.
Also once again - Virtua Racing rules. Arcade better conversion!
I've had a go of the Last Bronx PS2 game and am impressed with the conversion - 480p option too. Sadly the game is crap

I'd consider buying a PS2 if VR was a decent version. We all got stiffed as far as the Saturn version went... a machine capable of throwing together something close to perfect, and they botched the controls, graphics and feel of the whole thing. Time-Warner FTL.

I rented a 32x and VR once with a mate. From memory it was a good port.
I agree about the Saturn version I found a copy and was so excited, then I played it.
So $Corey at K-Mart or cheaper elsewhere?

32X VR is good, but PS2 shits all over it.

Actually... that reminds me. Does it have the original music? There was nothing better than whacking in a coin and hearing the track select music... especially in those huge fibreglass F1 fuckers.
